The Cancer New Moon is the perfect time time to acknowledge that most primal connection with our own mothers, with the Earth Mother, and with our own inner mothering/nurturing instincts. Remember– you don’t have to be a biological mother to know the excitement of giving birth… books, businesses, ideas, artistic creations. We’re all “mothers” in one way or another. Join us as we re-connect to that powerful mothering force in and around us. *Bring your favorite mother(!), a symbol of your connection to Mother (whatever that means to you) and dress in water-y blues.

Monday, August 5th (Leo) – Reclaiming our Sovereign Inner Queen
Leo is often referred to as Leo the Lion, the King of the jungle, or in our sacred woman-space, the Lioness and the QUEEN. How do you tap into your own “inner Queen”, your inner authority? Whose rules do you play by? Do you allow yourself to “just do it”? These are just a few ways that the Queen archetype can show up – how does she rule you, how do you access her power? Or, have you been keeping her in the dungeon? The sad truth is that women especially are socialized to take care of everyone else first… in fact we’re labeled “selfish” if we don’t. The reality is if we don’t create space to nurture ourselves, we won’t be whole enough to take care of all those we love or who depend on us. Does love REALLY make the world go ‘round? If it doesn’t, it sure does make our lives VERY interesting! Whether you’re in a long-term relationship or just leaving one, looking for your soul-mate, or single and loving it, the New Moon in Libra is a powerful time to do relationship magic of all kinds. We’re challenged to look closely at the significant partnerships in our lives, to jettison what doesn’t work and commit to re-balancing and harmonizing what does (both Libran themes as well). And sometimes that process begins by looking at our relationship with ourselves, always a rich adventure! *Bring a symbol of the relationship you’d like to release, renew, or attract, and wear a flash of yellow or orange (to celebrate Fall!)

Friday, November 1st (Scorpio) – Transforming Fear into Power
Scorpio compels us to journey to the deepest part of ourselves to strip ourselves bare, release any pre-conceived notions about who we are or what we know, and reclaim our personal power. Scorpio’s energy is all about a dramatic impulse toward a cathartic release of the past to heal old wounds, then rebirth and renewal–like the phoenix. “What fear(s) do you need to release in order to be reborn into your wholly (holy?!) powerful self?” Goddess knows, with all of the fear-language surrounding us nowadays, it’s hard not to succumb to feelings of powerlessness, confusion, and downright terror about the future. One of the gifts of women’s spirituality is that we are encouraged to name our own experience as sacred. That may very well include embracing the traditions of our childhood, but it also compels us to search for new meaning and re-claim whatever it is that nurtures our own unique souls at the deepest level. The New Moon in Sagittarius provides the perfect cosmic energy to do that! Deborah Roth MA, is a Spiritual Life & Career Transition Coach, a Relationship Coach, and Interfaith Minister, dedicated to co-creating practical and magical strategies with individuals and groups to achieve fabulous lives, work, and relationships. She integrates 45+ years of experience in both the corporate world and the esoteric/spiritual disciplines of Feminist Psychology, Women’s Ritual, Astrology, and Tarot.

Nowadays, she works primarily with overwhelmed, under-nurtured women (and a few good men!), guiding them through life and career transitions, and helping them to attract & maintain healthy relationships. Since 1996, she’s facilitated monthly New Moon SisterCircles, Full Moon TeleMeditations, a year-long Women’s Spirituality program, and has created and officiated hundreds of magical wedding ceremonies and other life passage rituals.
