The Journey of Self.
Ah, the awakening of our true self.
The beginning...
We are born into this life with purpose, our hearts and minds are fully open, there is no judgment, no hatred...only Love. Along the way, as we grow older, teachings, thoughts, beliefs systems all get in the way. We are taught to think one way... that this is the right way or that is the wrong way. We have Religion thrust upon us(not that religion is a bad thing). We have the ideals of our parents, grandparents, friends and other family members drilled in to our brains. While all along we have a our own thinking, for some it is easy to put aside what others say and do what they believe, for others not so much. And what happens when we don't live true to that which is inside...we get confused, we become aggravated, we become negative and cynical. We can become angry and unforgiving. Then we become weak & sick, illness sneaks in, we become tired and more confused. We fight with ourselves...ego vs. spirit. Ego always tends to win because ego makes you believe it is protecting you. ( and in some cases yes, it is)
We go through the motions, things happen, Loved ones die, parents get divorced, tragedy strikes, trauma happens and illnesses occur. All these things change how we see Life, some for the better and some the worse. It is sometimes as though we are walking through life with blinders on, only seeing and believing what we have been told, not looking beyond to see if there is something that resonates with our soul, that is in line with spirit...something that speaks so deeply that nothing can alter it.
Then one day...that 'thing' happens. It is almost like you just suddenly woke up from a deep sleep, and you begin to see things in a different light. These old beliefs and thoughts are fading away and new and better ones are returning in their place. You see...you can actually see now. Energies seems to affect you differently, people affect you differently, it is almost as though you no longer want to be around certain people. That doesn't speak badly of them or of you...it only says that you are on a different level then they are and that their soul and your soul are not resonating at the same frequency any longer. Now, you will begin to attract to you the ones who vibrate the same as you. They will enter your life to lift you up, to support you in a more loving positive way.
All the old negative ideals and thoughts are just disappearing and being replaced with only thoughts of love and service, gratitude and kindness, mercy and truth. You feel as though in some ways the world has been lifted off of your shoulders and you can breathe better then you've ever been able to. There is a different form of Love in your heart...it is that of unconditional God like Love...full of mercy and tenderness. You have a Faith in God, that you didn't know even existed in you. Praise the Lord, She sees the Light
Now it is your time to give back, it's your time to shine your light...to share your inspiration with the world.

Life is a Beautiful series of messes, each one teaching us something very valuable.
Each of us have been given the innate gift of choice...to choose how we think, how we feel, how we act and how we react.
We can choose to look for and find the gift in any situation in life, we can let it make us or break us...we can let it make us stronger or we can choose to be a victim and think that we are powerless. Power is the ability to believe that all the challenges we face are for our greatest good and highest growth and that they aren’t there to punish us or make us a victim of life but a student.
We have been given the power to overcome, by being given the gift of choice. We can choose to feel grateful, to be blessed and to find the hidden gift. There is always something to be learned by the challenges that we face, sometimes we may not see it clearly or we may not see it for a long time and it may just be a simple step toward growth.
You can make a choice to accept your life as if you knew all the trials and challenges were planned this way & you knew eyes would be watching you with inspiration. or...fight it, kicking & screaming as if your life was some random stroke of bad luck.

“3 Important Aspects of Your Journey”
We are forever on a Journey of faith, of learning and of growth. We are Spiritual beings living a human existence. We will be tested; we have experiences that will push us to the limits, almost to a breaking point.
So many times in life we question what goes on around us and in our lives. We are challenged in almost every direction, from our jobs to relationships and from death to illnesses. At times we may even feel like it isn’t even worth the effort. Have you ever felt like that? I am sure that we all have from time to time. We all question why we are here, we question our worth when we don’t feel we are appreciated or valued by another. We question our beliefs, we question our abilities, and we question our strength when times are tough. We beat ourselves up for making what seems like a wrong choice, or bad decisions. These are all experiences teaching us valuable lessons to help us grow, embrace them for they are creating your strength for tomorrow.
It is alright to get upset when things aren’t going right, no one said that you had to be practical or prudent every second of everyday. Just don’t stay in that place, learn to acknowledge your emotions embrace them, they are a part of You and then release them and find out what you can learn from what the challenge was. We are forever learning as we grow. Don’t be so hard on yourself…you are doing the best you can.
Take a breath, a big deep breath. Now put your hand on your Heart, you feel your heart beating, you feel your chest rising and falling? Remember this, as long as there is breath left in your body and you heart is still beating, you my friend have a purpose and we need you.

You are here to touch, to inspire… to bring hope, joy and love into someone life and in some cases many people’s lives. I don’t believe that we are just here to exist in this life, but to actually be a part of it, to make a difference. That difference can just be to bring Love into someone’s life or to save someone from death, or maybe keep them from going down the wrong path. Maybe it is just to share in their Journey for a season. It may just be your smile that lights up their day, or to just let someone know they are not alone.
Learn
You will meet people in life that will teach you things you need to know…each one of those people are put in our lives for a purpose…to teach us something valuable. We may never know what that lesson may be or we may know immediately.
Challenges will arise and we will face many difficulties in life….pay attention to lessons in those challenges. Always value each person and each challenge…you may not know it immediately but you have been taught something valuable and it may be years before you know what it is.
Love
Take a chance in life…LOVE! You may be hurt, but you loved…you got to experience it, feel it and know it. There is no greater gift in the world then the gift of Love, the gift of oneself to another human being. The gift of sharing your life…your hopes, your dreams, your joys and your sorrows. Or maybe just sharing a moment in time that is never meant to last but to be a special moment held in your heart. Hold on to those times those memories…not to bring pain but to bring joy in your heart that you felt Love. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, even if it is for just a brief moment.
Throw those notions out the window that life sucks, life is truly what you make it. You have choices every day and you can choose to let life be this amazing experience that gives you the opportunity to just be alive.
This journey called life is a miracle. It is an amazing thing to be a part of, to be able to live on this beautiful place called Earth…just look around you, how could you not think this place is a miracle, the air, the grass, the trees, the way it all works together to create life...to sustain life. Simply amazing! Simply brilliant!

10 Things You Should Quit Right NOW
What changes are looking to making in your life?
Here are 10 very important things that you should quit doing to yourself.
There is going to be some tough Love here, some of these may seem harsh and hard to swallow. But, this may be just what you need to hear.
1. Stop spending time with people who suck the happiness right out of you!
How many friends or unfortunately even family members do you have that are complete and total life suckers? When they walk in the room they just suck the life right out of it. As hard as it may be, avoid these people. They are emotional vampires and will drain every ounce of happiness out of you. I realize that it may be difficult in some situations to completely avoid these people, but if you are on a quest to better your life and be more positive, up-beat and happier you mustn’t allow that energy to infiltrate your happiness. Stop putting yourself in situations where you constantly have to be around them. Send them Love and be on your way.
2. Stop avoiding your problems!
If you have issues that you are avoiding, trust me they will not go away. Take responsibility and meet those issues head on. Do what you can do, do not push them to the side and pretend they don’t exist. You can cause subconscious issues by not taking care of them, you may feel guilty and not understand why when in reality your conscious mind is trying to tell you that you aren’t taking on full control of your responsibilities. As soon as you take the proper care of them, you will feel a weight lifted.
3. Quit lying to yourself!
Stop the lies that you let yourself believe about yourself. Such as, you are not worthy, ‘in order to be happy I must have…’ ‘I will never be enough’. These lies that we let ourselves believe are shameful on our part. We are worthy, you are worthy and enough and you can make a conscious decision to be happy with what you have. We need to stop beating ourselves up over the things that aren’t true.
‘Be careful what you whisper to yourself in the quiet moments, you are listening. Only speak words of Power and Love.’
4. Stop putting yourself last!
You deserve just as much Love and care as anyone and more. If you constantly put yourself last and do not take care of you…who will?! You need to take care of you first so you can take proper care of others. We have a habit of putting ourselves, our wants and needs on the back burner so that others can have and be taken care. Well you need to stop it, it is not selfish to take care of you first, it is necessary. So don’t be hard on yourself or beat yourself up if you take time for you…it is a good thing.
5. Stop complaining!
Complaining is useless. It won’t stop the things from happening that you are complaining about. Complaining only magnifies it, and you are creating negative energy…by complaining about it, you are attracting more of the same to you because you are constantly speaking of it and the Universe doesn’t know the difference, it only knows that you keep saying it over and over so you must want more. Plus most people don’t like to hear someone constantly complaining about everything.
6. Quit dwelling on the past!
What happens when you dwell and dwell on the past…you remain stuck there. You cannot move forward or grow, you are there reliving every single moment that you cannot change. ‘Why do you want to keep reliving the pain over and over? Wasn’t it bad enough the first time?’ I know that sometimes it seems easier just to stay in that place than to move forward, because moving on means that you release it and what has happened is alright, well no it doesn’t, not really it just means that you make a conscious decision to release it, move forward and live a more fulfilling life.
7. Stop looking at others to validate you!
Who was so hard on you and made you feel worthless that you feel the need to be validated by others? Of course, it is a wonderful thing to be recognized and thanked for a job well done, but be honest, is it really the validation from them that you seek or is it you are so down on yourself that you can’t even see how extraordinary you really are. Start accepting you. Use your ‘I Am’ statements and you won’t feel the need to be validated by others.
8. Stop worrying so much!
Just STOP IT! Does worrying help the situation? Does it make things easier? Come on be honest. No, it doesn’t. It only makes things harder. When you release, let go and have faith all the things that are going on around you are just so much easier and you can breathe, because you aren’t creating that nasty negative energy that repels all the negativity right back at you. Remain calm, have faith, take a deep breath and just go with the flow…stop trying to fight everything.
9. Stop the negative talk!
All that negativity that has you so bogged down with will only continue as long as you continue to bring it to you. Negative attracts negative as does positive attract positive. Stop being so hard on yourself and quit using all that negative jargon. Has all that negativity worked for you in the past? NO? Didn’t think so, so why do you still continue to use it. How about trying stepping outside your box and doing something different, like using positive affirmations and believing that things will work out and learn to love and accept yourself. What do you have to lose….you just might everything to gain.
10. Stop being ungrateful!
You have so much to be grateful for…Appreciate what you have, and stop being focusing on what you don’t have. ‘The more you are grateful, the more reasons you will be given to be grateful’ Every single morning that we open our eyes we are given the best gift…LIFE! Looking for Inspiration
It is easy to find inspiration in all kinds of places when a person is in a good mood and feeling amazing.
The challenge is finding it when we are in the middle of a shit storm are ill or sad, struggling financially or after a trauma or loss. It can become very easy to get stuck when feeling down, you can even remain there for a time and then the struggle can become even more difficult, because now you are stuck in feeling just plain shitty. Sometimes being stuck in this place can actually seem like a better place to be…more comfortable than using your energy to look for something good or inspirational, because let’s face it that can take work and focus….and who has time for that when we are feeling all down in the mully grubbs.
Once we get stuck in that place of sadness and overwhelm it can be very difficult to pull ourselves out.
I’ve found throughout my many challenges in life (and believe me there have been many) that sometimes I need to get stuck in that place for a time…stuck in the muck of sadness, desperation and in my emotions.
Many times we need to be there for a time, these times can bring on understanding and can bring awareness as to why and how things are the way they are ( but we have to get to a place of wanting to see it ) It is not a bad place to be as long as you don’t continue to ‘LIVE’ there.
You can’t appreciate the light without the darkness. Light and dark must exist together, they complement each other and they each serve a purpose.
If you are feeling stuck and you are struggling with trying to find your way out and are in need of places to look for inspiration, here is a list of places and things that you can do to find that inspiration without it taking a whole lot of work that you may not be ready for…that is until you find your INSPIRATION.
*Disconnect… turn of the phone, the TV and the internet. Remove any distractions or negativity that may be keeping you stuck.
*Take a walk… pay attention to the things around you.
*Take pictures… you don’t have to have a good eye or an expensive camera, whatever catches your eye, take a picture of it and then later on review all your photos. You may be surprised at what you’ll find.
*Draw… express yourself. You don’t have to be an ‘artist’ to express yourself creatively. You can buy a coloring book or just doodle on a piece of paper.
*Read… go to your local bookstore and grab yourself a new book. To me there is just something about a book that you can hold in your hands and turn each page and get lost in the story.
*Visit/Call… go visit or call someone you’ve not spoken to in a long time, you might surprised at what kind of conversation and inspiration will happen.
*Exercise… go get your blood pumping. You will be very surprised at what simple exercising can do for your mind.
*Turn up the music… turn on your favorite music, whatever music it is that makes your heart smile and your body want to dance.
*Pay it forward… there is no better place to find inspiration then in giving to someone who is not expecting it.
*Reflect… take a few moments and reflect on all your qualities.
*Do something fun… take a trip to the park, slide down the slide and swing on the swings…be a kid again.
*Meditate… I know this one seems like work, but it doesn’t have to be. You’d be surprised at what a quick 2-5 minute meditation can do for you.
*Be Present… just stop thinking for a moment about everything from yesterday, last year, or 5 years ago and be right now in this moment. Take a deep breath and just BE.
*Journal… Write your thoughts down. You can do this in the morning when you get up or in the evening before you retire for the night…or both. Then you can go back and read your thoughts, you may find all kinds of inspiration you didn’t even know you had.
Sometimes it is in the simplest of things that can bring our heart joy.
Sometimes it might only take one simple thing to help someone get unstuck and then sometimes it will take a slew of different things together to pull them out.
Don’t push yourself, cut yourself some slack.
When you do the best you can with what you have it will always be enough.
