Holocaust survivors have a saying ” never forget, never again ” …..and for them, remembering “where we came from” ensures that “never again” is.
There are many who speak to ‘being in the now’, ‘living for today’, ‘forget about the past’, and …..with each new generation we lose bits of information and connection to our pasts.
Of course, our pasts are infinite 😉 can ya imagine holding all that info. in your conscious awareness ?
Holy Wowsa!! 😮Indeed, imagine how different your experience in this now would be if you remembered everything…..every one and thing you’ve ever been…..oy!
Yet….there is definitely something to be said, for maintaining one’s connection to the past — to one’s lineage, to be able to trace tone’s Self beyond the little pebble of our Earth School any of we know to be home.
It is in branching out through our very own past, our very own lineage, that we see how vastly interconnected with everyone else we all actually are, and how infinitely all goes back. 😉
Quite the someth’n to be living in conscious awareness of, n’est ce pas ?
