An interesting observation….I’ve authored fiction books (in addition to non fiction)…with the fiction series I had initially offered free ebooks…and of course close to a thousand signed up….
The interesting observation is this: close to 99.99% of the readers were not interested in much to do about helping the real world. They were not concerned about world peace. They were not wanting information on how to stop violence or hatred.
What are your comments ….as I come across more and more of this feedback from people even in the corporate sectors in the health and wellness industries.
Are we becoming accustomed to assuring our job safety, and financial security to the exclusion of embracing other humans as one of us? So many are focused on “getting and keeping” a job, even if the very job is harmful to the peaceful future of humanity.
We need to look deep within the very core of our true Selves, to realize that unless we live in a state of inner peace, our world will continue to be a battleground – with poverty, inequality, violence, revenge, small talk….
We need to spend more of our time in the real world, getting to the root of real problems and discovering the real solutions….and before we know it…we will restore our Planet Earth on its natural course.
Love

Hello @sherivie much of your experience is common. Strictly from a marketing perspective, to shed a little light, you can look up conversion rate. It’s not as cut and dry as people don’t ‘want’ or ‘care’ to get involved, people don’t have time or make it a priority or find value or think they can be of value. This is the conversation we want to get involved in and help find answers and motivate people to take action. If you host live workshops and then do online events to support your community, following and tribe, you will have many more people engaging. We support you here on WU and are very realistic about expectations and help as best we can to support you create waves of change. You are not alone in your frustration! We all have to be more realistic about expectations. For example, Shari and I have put everything into WU yet we have about a 10% conversion for members to be upgraded. EVERYONE want s this space, but not many support it financially (with all that we do) … So with your mission to make the world a better place, we support that! Getting others to take action is all in the marketing and connecting to your tribe. It’s a massive effort to make it happen online. You can always look for opportunities to have conversations in Business Buzz and via WUpreneurs to support you navigate where to focus your energy to get more desirable results. Thanks for your input @annapereira on my observations.
I was specifically sharing what is going on in the fiction reader market…where the reader’s obtain free fiction fantasy ebooks from me, but are not interested in participating in bringing about much needed compassion and peace in the world today. Fantasy versus reality is the observation.
My live streams (webinars) have always been free, so there is no financial commitment from those who attend.
The comment I quoted in the image I attached, is directly from one of the readers herself.
And just today I received yet one more note from another fantasy reader to the similar effect and even more direct. Find it in quotes below:
“Dude – 7000 years we have been working on this issue. No longer our problem or our responsibility.”
No Anna, I am not frustrated about their input…but I am rather engaged in observing this phenomenon that appears to be on the rise in the USA.
I address this apathy directly in my live streams…where attendees who sign up , send in their burning questions and truly want to engage in bringing peace to our world.
I note once again that something has been shifting in the minds of many people…with a group that is shifting toward an indifference of what is happening outside their close knit circles of friends, or family. They live for their jobs even if their jobs are the source of pain for millions.
And then there are other pockets of people, who are truly passionate about “Being the change they want to see in the world,” as Mahatma Gandhi said and did. These people engage, ask questions and dig deep into real solutions.
My note was an observation of how fantasy readers are fervently reacting to free invitations to engage in a discussion of ending violence. They are vocal about their apathy. And many others, even in the “health” industry, also share the same selfish approach to life.
Bravo to the small group of people who are actively engaged in ending violence and restoring peace, love and compassion to our world.
My live streams and live events continue as they always have…and welcome those who are focused on making the world a better place for the starving child, the abused woman, the rejected elder…because love is the foundation of an intelligent humanity.
Thank you for going into detail. Between the image and your post, the clarification clearly needed to be made.
Glad it’s clear… Lots of love V
