I am an experienced CEO, national leader, author and speaker. Currently I serve as President of the Start Smart Career Center which has the purpose of helping women navigate their nonprofit careers and become leaders in the workplace (blogsite at http://www.startsmartcareercenter.org). My previous position, which I held for 12 years, was Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Social Workers, the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the country. In addition, I have a clinical background in health care, with specialties in cancer survivorship, loss, and grief. My passion is hope, and I consider myself a hope advocate.
