For the past two weeks my wife and I have been eating low carb and extremely low sugar and higher protein. We’ve been feeling great with so much more energy. Yesterday as it was Easter, and as we were eating with family we just ate what we used to eat as normal. Namely, carbs on carbs on carbs. We ate a healthy breakfast and lunch and then for dinner we had Italian bread, cheese raviolis, and for dessert had Italian cookies. So much carbs. So much sugar. Today we both feel lethargic and we feel hungover even though we didn’t drink. So back on our sugar detox we go. Sugar really is an addiction. We both far prefer the way we’ve been eating and feeling the past 2 weeks. Sugar isn’t necessarily bad, but most people eat far more sugar than they need to or should. every-bite
